Java Production Support Engineer

Role: ETRM Developer | Openlink Endur | Energy Trading

Location: Downtown Houston, TX

Contract Duration: 9 Months

Job Summary Experienced ETRM Developer with 5 7 years of hands-on expertise in ION/Openlink Endur development, customization, and production support. Proven ability to deliver scalable solutions supporting natural gas and LNG trading operations , with strong technical skills in Java, OpenJVS, and Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and support solutions in Openlink Endur (ETRM platform)
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Provide production support , troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability
• Customize Endur using OpenJVS/OpenComponents APIs
• Perform system integration with external applications and data sources
• Manage code deployments, version control, and release processes
• Coordinate with vendors, DBAs, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution
• Handle multiple projects and high-priority incidents simultaneously
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and best practices

Technical Skills

• ETRM Tools: Openlink Endur, Zema (preferred)
• Programming: Java, OpenJVS, OpenComponents, .NET (optional)
• Database: Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL
• Tools: Git/SVN, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices
• Other: Debugging, performance tuning, system integration

Domain Expertise Energy/commodity trading systems Strong understanding of: Trade capture (physical & financial) Mark-to-market (MTM) valuation Risk exposure Gas scheduling Settlements and accounting

Experience & Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field 5 7 years of experience in Endur development and support Hands-on experience with customization, integration, and Oracle backend
