Key Responsibilities
- L1/L2 Incident Management: Monitor the Aligne production environment, respond to user queries, and resolve functional/technical incidents within defined SLAs.
- System Monitoring: Oversee daily batch jobs, end-of-day (EOD) processing, and real-time data interfaces to ensure trade flow integrity.
- Ecosystem Troubleshooting: Support Aligne’s integrations with external systems (e.g., market data feeds, risk engines, clearing houses, and downstream ERP/Accounting systems).
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring issues, document fixes, and escalate complex L3 bugs to the vendor (FIS) or internal development teams.
- Environment Management: Assist in minor configuration changes, user access management, and supporting deployment cycles (UAT to Production).
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a robust knowledge base of common workarounds and system documentation.
Technical Requirements
- ETRM Expertise: Hands-on experience with Aligne (FIS) is highly preferred. Experience with similar systems (Openlink Endur, Allegro, or RightPower) will be considered.
- SQL Skills: Strong ability to write and execute SQL queries (Oracle or SQL Server) to investigate data discrepancies and generate reports.
- Middleware/Integrations: Familiarity with messaging services (e.g., RabbitMQ, Tibco, or WebSphere) and API-based data exchanges.
- Scripting: Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting for automating routine health checks.
- ITSM Tools: Proficiency in Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems.
Functional Knowledge
- Energy Markets: Understanding of physical and financial trading (Power, Natural Gas, LNG, or Carbon).
- Trade Lifecycle: Familiarity with Front-to-Back office processes, including trade capture, valuation, scheduling, and settlement.
- Regulatory/Risk: Basic understanding of P&L, VaR, and regulatory reporting (EMIR/REMIT) is a significant plus.
Professional Attributes
- The "Support Mindset": Calm under pressure, especially during high-volatility market events or EOD processing windows.
- Analytical Thinker: Ability to trace a data point through multiple integrated systems to find where it "broke."
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills for interacting with traders, risk managers, and IT stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: 3–6 years in IT support, specifically within Commodity/Energy Trading.
