Consultant – APAC (Onsite)

Description

Based out of Philippines, as a Veson Nautical Consultant you will function as the primary technical and project management contact throughout the sales, implementation, and deployment phases of the world’s leading enterprise software solution for maritime commercial operations. Your responsibilities will extend throughout the project lifecycle – understanding customer’s needs, gathering requirements, establishing and maintaining project scope and facilitating communications and accountability.

As the point person and Consultant for system implementation you will plan, track, and manage the implementation process including delivery of customized training and ongoing support to end-users, IT, and management to ensure successful system adoption. You will work closely with the Veson Nautical product team to define and verify customizations, and to plan and manage successful enterprise software implementations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’+ experience delivering end to end enterprise software implementations, integration, and training, as a Consultant/Business Analyst/Project Manager
• 4-year College Degree – preferably in engineering, IT, economics, finance, or business
• Demonstrated ownership mentality in taking initiative, driving results, and being accountable for outcomes
• Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to details
• Fluent English with additional languages welcome!
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote/distributed team environments
• Demonstrated planning and organizing skills
• Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
• Ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization and in different settings including training environments and day to day meetings.
• Proven ability to proactively address customer concerns and meet or exceed customer needs
• Experience with business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation
• Strong commercial awareness - understands billability, utilization, and client profitability
• Desire to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
• Willingness to travel across Asia-Pacific with up to 25% travel
• Own end-to-end implementation projects, taking full accountability for timeline, scope, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Navigate multiple concurrent client implementations with minimal supervision
• Drive projects forward independently, escalating only when truly necessary and maintaining personal KPI targets.

Beneficial Skills (Not Essential )

• Financial Technologies and Accounting experience is a plus
• Knowledge and experience on trading, risk management, and physical trading in the commodity market, ETRM, CTRM
• Knowledge of the maritime shipping industry
• Insight on the energy, oil, and gas industries
• Familiarity with Windows Server, MS Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, and MS Office applications
• Self-starter and taking initiative without waiting to be told what to do
• Quick learner being able to rapidly absorbs new concepts and applies them independently
• Exposure to programming languages and technologies (such as C#, JavaScript, scripting languages, and XML)
• Experience working in consulting firms or billable environments
• AI related awareness training for different applications and data sensitivity management.

You'll work with clients across time zones, requiring you to, master complex enterprise software with limited hand-holding, navigate challenging client situations with professionalism and diplomacy, continuously expand your expertise to stay ahead of client needs
