The position is based in Paris, in the 8th arrondissement.

You will join the Energy Management team, responsible for developing a new electricity market trading activity (forward, day-ahead). Your role will be to turn market data into operational insights to improve decision-making for the trading teams.

Main Tasks

As a Power Market Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

• Collect, structure, and validate market data (prices, volumes, generation, consumption, weather);
• Produce regular analyses on intraday, spot, and forward market dynamics (liquidity, shape, volatility, spreads, intraday patterns);
• Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for the trading teams;
• Identify and analyse market opportunities or anomalies from data;
• Contribute to the performance measurement of trading strategies (PnL, risks, KPIs);
• Participate in the continuous improvement of data tools (quality, automation, visualisation);
• Collaborate with trading and IT teams to integrate analyses into existing tools (ETRM, EMS, BI);
• Develop pricing tools for PPAs, supply contracts, and renewable asset aggregation.

Skills Required

The following skills are essential for the role:

• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy) applied to data analysis;
• Good command of SQL for data manipulation;
• Proficiency in a data visualisation tool (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent);
• Ability to handle and analyse large datasets;
• Analytical mindset and rigour in data processing;
• Ability to translate data into concrete, operational insights;
• Autonomy, proactivity, and capacity to prioritise in a low-structure environment.

The following skills may help you stand out among applicants:

• Knowledge of time series analysis and/or machine learning models;
• Strong interest in electricity markets and understanding of short-term price formation mechanisms (supply/demand, weather, grid constraints);
• Knowledge of the Polish market;
• Sensitivity to financial performance tracking, risk, and execution challenges;
• Ease in communicating with diverse profiles (trading, IT, finance);
• International background or experience in a multi-country environment.

This role may not be suitable for you if you prefer a highly structured working environment with established processes, if you are uncomfortable with strong autonomy and rapid responsibility, or if energy markets and their operational challenges do not particularly appeal to you.
