Job Purpose
The Market Risk Specialist will support the Middle Office in Singapore and global risk teams in
identifying, monitoring, and analyzing market risk across trading portfolios
.
The role focuses on ensuring accurate risk capture, reporting, and control across all trading activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor market risk factors across trading portfolios
- Produce daily market risk reports and analyze key risk and P&L drivers
- Support development of risk frameworks, limits, and governance processes
- Perform stress testing and risk analysis across trading books
- Validate daily P&L and investigate variations and outliers
- Collaborate with trading, finance, compliance, and other stakeholders
- Support enhancements of risk systems (VaR, stress testing, monitoring tools)
- Consolidate exposures across trading desks and regions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Engineering, Science, or related field
- 4–5 years’ experience in
Market Risk / Middle Office within trading environments
- Strong experience with quantitative models and risk analytics
- Knowledge of global energy markets and supply/demand fundamentals
- Understanding of derivatives, commodities trading strategies, and financial instruments
- Familiarity with systems such as Openlink/Endur and Power BI is advantageous
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
