In this role you will work as part of a diverse team to set up, manage, and improve product development, delivery, and maintenance operations. You will drive all aspects of automation in test, including improving testability, unit testing, integration testing, and general test automation activities. You are a partner to the software engineering codebase with a focus on increasing quality through automation in test.
You will work closely with product delivery teams to deliver an exploration ready Software as a Service product hosting multiple customers. The role also includes mentoring and enabling product delivery team roles to participate in the delivery of automation in test.
#### Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate closely with responsible testers to perform exploratory testing and take on responsible-tester activities to gain domain and product understanding.
- Work with product delivery teams to influence features by advocating for testability and aligning on quality goals.
- Design, develop, maintain, and document all aspects automation in test, such as unit testing, integration testing, data generation, monitoring, etc.
- Mentor and enable software engineers and testers to implement and use automation in test.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps to integrate automation in test into CI/CD pipelines.
- Work across multiple delivery teams in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
- Own responsibility for test infrastructure.
- Maintain a holistic view on the components and their dependencies.
- Foster high-quality delivery by encouraging adherence to system documentation, continuously seeking improvements to design and development practices, and leading by example
#### What we are looking for
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems. Candidates with equivalent, demonstrable experience are welcome.
You are a team player who works well under pressure and enjoys challenging yourself alongside experienced, talented colleagues. You communicate effectively and can build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You have excellent written and verbal skills and can present complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.
- Full flexibility to work from home, office, or just about anywhere
- Multiple years’ experience in software testing, including at least one year in a senior role.
- Experience with context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing.
- Strong programming skills in C#. Understanding of the.net platform as a "total", including insights about the runtime.
- Experience with Python and JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience and familiarity with existing testing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, integrating test automation into pipelines, and proficient use of MS Build to create, configure, and automate reliable .NET and native project builds.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in rapidly changing work environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to advocate for quality across teams.
- Initiative and ownership mindset.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Comfortable working in self-organized teams and coordinating daily tasks with coworkers.
#### Nice to have:
- Experience with ERP, ETRM, or CTRM software.
- Understanding of microservices and distributed APIs.
- Familiarity with JavaScript single-page applications.
