The energy and commodity markets are going through a decade of transformation — and the technology that manages trading risk, physical operations, and regulatory exposure is right at the centre of it. We are hiring a senior enterprise sales professional who has spent a decade in this space and knows it from the inside.

This isn't a role for someone who has recently discovered commodity software. This is for someone who has worked the full cycle — from discovery to deal — at one of the leading CTRM or ETRM platform vendors, and who has the client relationships, domain depth, and commercial instinct to walk into a major energy firm and be taken seriously from the first conversation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will join a growing enterprise software business as a senior individual contributor with a clear path to leadership. Your remit is the full US energy and commodity market — oil majors, independent E&P companies, power utilities, gas marketers, trading houses, and commodity-focused financial institutions.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Full ownership of US new business pipeline across energy, commodity, and trading organisations

  • Managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement to commercial close

  • Engaging at C-suite level — Chief Trading Officers, Chief Risk Officers, VP of Operations, and IT leadership

  • Navigating procurement, IT governance, and internal champion-building at large energy enterprises

  • Competing effectively in RFP processes against established incumbent vendors

  • Representing the business at key US energy events — NAESB, Argus, Platts, and sector conferences

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE

  • Minimum 10 years in enterprise software sales within the CTRM, ETRM, or energy/commodity technology sector — no exceptions

  • Deep domain knowledge across: physical commodity management, energy trading, risk management, scheduling & logistics, position management, P&L reporting, or regulatory compliance

  • Track record closing six and seven-figure enterprise software deals with long, complex sales cycles

  • Background at a leading CTRM / ETRM platform vendor — you know your competitors by name, by strength, and by weakness

  • Existing network across US energy trading, commodity management, and energy risk technology

  • Fluency in energy risk language: VaR, mark-to-market, Greeks, curve management, ETRM integration, scheduling workflows

  • Remote-capable with willingness to travel domestically

DESIRABLE

  • SaaS, cloud-hosted, or managed service model experience

  • Familiarity with CFTC, FERC, or NERC compliance requirements

  • Prior trading or risk role at an energy company before moving into software sales
