Remote role – to be based in Texas

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 + Bonuses (approx. 15-20% depending on performance) + benefits

A leading global software company in the energy and commodities sector is seeking a Senior Presales Consultant to support continued growth across North America.

Reporting into the Head of Presales this is a key role that will be highly client-facing combining customer engagement, technical solution design, and industry expertise.

Working closely with Sales, Product, and Professional Services teams, you will act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping customers solve complex business challenges and delivering tailored solution demonstrations.

The role will is a remote position, however, given the client facing nature of the role you will need to be based in Texas (Dallas or Houston preferred) so either already based there or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead presales engagement on strategic opportunities shaping deal strategy and positioning.
• Leading and tailoring product demonstrations for prospective customers across the energy / CTRM landscape.
• Act as the technical and domain expert alongside the sales team
• Translate customer needs into solution designs and implementation approaches
• Support integrations and technical solution architecture discussions
• Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and technical responses
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Professional Services teams to drive successful outcomes

Requirements

• Experience in similar Presales / Sales Solution / Sales Engineering role ideally with knowledge / experience of ETRM/CTRM platforms
• Strong understanding of energy markets, commodity trading, or risk management systems
• Proven experience supporting enterprise software sales cycles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, and data structures
