X4 Engineering have partnered with a global commodities trading organisation undergoing a major trading systems transformation programme whilst continuing to support one of the largest and most complex North American energy trading portfolios.

As part of this initiative, they are looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Openlink Endur Business Analyst to provide critical support across Middle Office, Risk, and Trading functions, acting as the primary technology SME for North American Power, Gas, and Environmental markets.

This is a senior, business-facing role sitting at the intersection of technology, risk methodology, and trading operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring risk and PnL integrity, supporting complex transaction modelling, resolving production issues, and providing continuity alongside a major Openlink Endur v25 transformation programme.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on Openlink Endur experience in a BAU support or operational role across a multi-commodity trading environment.
  • Expert knowledge of North American Power, Gas, and Emissions markets including ISO/RTO power (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, MISO, SPP), Henry Hub gas, NAESB scheduling, RGGI, CA Cap-and-Trade, RECs, and RINs.
  • Strong quantitative background covering options valuation, VaR methodologies, PnL attribution, Greeks, and mark-to-market frameworks.
  • Proven expertise modelling and configuring complex structured transactions within Endur including physically-settled power, cross-commodity spreads, and environmental products.
  • Experience in price curve construction, volatility surface calibration, and market data management within Endur.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to interrogate Endur's data structures and resolve live production issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to trading, Middle Office, and Risk audiences.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline - Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Financial Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Desirable Experience:

  • Openlink AVS/JVS scripting experience.
  • Java, C#, or Python exposure within Endur environments.
  • Experience supporting major Endur upgrades, migrations, or greenfield implementations.
  • Knowledge of North American regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements.
  • Experience leveraging AI tooling to support analysis, documentation, requirements gathering, and operational efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Openlink Endur specialist to join a highly regarded trading organisation and play a key role in supporting complex trading operations whilst contributing to a major platform transformation programme.
