PPC Trading - Energy Trader (Attica)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and submits purchase and sale orders for energy products (electricity, natural gas, environmental products)
  • Monitors positions and the energy contracts portfolio and ensures their execution
  • Analyzes trends in the European energy markets and identifies trading opportunities
  • Participates in auctions and related market processes (e.g., transmission rights)
  • Collaborates and communicates with counterparties for the execution and management of transactions
  • Contributes to the formulation of trading strategies and portfolio risk management
  • Ensures the accurate and timely recording of transactions in the company's systems (e.g., ETRM)
  • Prepares analyses and reports regarding trading performance and activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a University or Diploma from a Higher Education Institution in Greece or abroad, in Engineering, Economics or other Sciences and Financial Disciplines
  • Master’s degree will be considered an additional qualification
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in executing transactions in electricity and/or natural gas products or participation in exchange markets, energy and non-energy or in energy market analysis
  • Certification as a trader in the Greek or foreign market
  • Knowledge of programming (VBA, Matlab, Python, R) will be considered an additional qualification
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
  • Availability in flexible working hours
