Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Natural Gas Analyst to join our team and drive insights into the natural gas market. In this role, you will analyze market trends, develop forecasts, and support strategic decision-making through advanced data analysis and business intelligence tools. Your expertise will help optimize operations, improve processes, and enhance our understanding of the natural gas industry landscape. Responsibilities

Work with traders and schedulers to enter new transport accurately into the ETRM.

Work with traders, schedulers, and accounting to verify accuracy of transport invoices and approve payment.

Calculate profit and loss.

Prepare historical reports as needed to assess historical trends relating to volumes, expenses, and profit. Present all reports to traders and management with explanations for what occurred and why.

Monitor trader book positions, profit, and balancing. Be able to explain any major shifts in profit and any significant positions trader has put on. Report to management as needed.

Inventory balance and value tracking.

Monitor, verify, and report to management MTM valuation and forward value of books.

Risk monitoring and compliance.

Entering, checking, and tracking financial hedges.

ETRM data maintenance and management.

FERC/Dodd Frank reporting.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Proven experience in data analysis within the energy or natural gas industry is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2+ years of relevant energy experience.
  • Skills and abilities to be analytical, accurate, organized, and possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and follow defined technical processes is crucial.
  • Ability to physically perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Skills and abilities in interpretive, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Skills and abilities in verbal and written communications.
  • Skills in computer software and use of various specialized applications.
  • Ability to concentrate on one task for long periods of time.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
