Job Responsibilities
- Technical expertise and support: Act as the go-to technical expert for the Murex platform, resolving complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and providing solutions for incidents and service requests.
- Implementation and configuration: Lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of Murex modules and upgrades, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- System integration: Design, develop, and maintain interfaces between Murex and external systems, including upstream data providers (e.g., market data) and downstream systems (e.g., settlement systems) using tools like MxML Exchange.
- Datamart and reporting: Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Murex Datamart reports and extractions to support business intelligence, regulatory, and financial reporting.
- Workflow development: Customize and maintain MxML workflows for trade processing, confirmation, settlement, and other key business events.
- Performance optimization: Monitor system performance and execute tuning activities to ensure optimal efficiency, stability, and reliability of the Murex environment.
- Scripting and automation: Utilize scripting (SQL, Unix/Linux, Python) to automate processes, perform database queries, and assist in system administration and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Work with business analysts to understand functional requirements, and partner with developers and other technical teams to deliver innovative and robust solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
- Project lifecycle support: Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing (SIT/UAT), and production deployment.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of hands-on technical experience with the Murex MX.3 platform, including implementation, support, and development.
- Murex expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Murex modules. Expertise in one or more of the following is essential:
+ Front Office (Trade Capture, Simulation, Pricing)
+ Back Office (Confirmations, Settlements, Payments)
+ Risk (Market Risk, Credit Risk, VaR, PFE)
+ Datamart and Reporting
+ Interfaces (MxML Exchange, TDS, MDIT)
+ Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (Oracle, Sybase).
+ Strong scripting skills (e.g., Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python).
+ Experience with XML and related technologies for data exchange.
+ Understanding of Murex architecture, including its components and technical processes.
- Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of capital markets and financial instruments, including Fixed Income, FX, IRD, and Equities.
- Soft skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant Murex certifications are a plus.
