This role will require someone to be already living in Switzerland, or be willing to relocate to Switzerland to work onsite 2 days per week.
What you will do:
- Oversee LPG shipping operations, coordinating cargo-related matters and vessel movements with external stakeholders.
- Manage bunkering operations to optimize costs and ensure sufficient fuel supplies for the LPG fleet.
- Provide clear voyage instructions to vessels and coordinate agency and surveyor nominations.
- Handle claims such as demurrage and resolve disputes with shipping partners and terminals.
- Act as the main internal point of contact for departments including legal, trade finance, risk, and accounts for invoicing matters.
- Review and maintain detailed records of contracts, charter party agreements, bunker stems, and cargo documentation (e.g., BL, COO, LOI, SOF, LOP, NOR).
- Maintain and update internal software systems with operational data.
- Support traders by analyzing shipping costs and identifying opportunities for risk mitigation and efficiency improvements.
What you bring & who you are:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in LPG shipping operations, especially US–FEA trades.
- Expertise in LPG shipping, including cargo handling, tank management, and vessel operations with a focus on voyage planning and optimization.
- Strong background in bunkering operations, fuel quality specifications, and supply planning.
- Proven experience handling demurrage claims, including preparation, negotiation, and recovery.
- Knowledge of LPG regulatory frameworks and international maritime standards.
- Proficiency in shipping operations, bunkering knowledge, and claims management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/ETRM systems (Endur knowledge advantageous), and shipping software (e.g., voyage management systems).
