About Us:

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Java Developer – Findur Application for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a federal financial institution. This role will provide technical expertise in the development, enhancement, integration, modernization, and production support of the Findur application and related financial systems. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Canada.

Position Summary:

The Java Developer will support and enhance the Findur application and related financial systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development and modernization, system integrations, data transformation and reconciliation, reporting, cloud solutions, automation, and second-line production support. The role will also involve investigating technical issues, implementing fixes, and participating in Agile and DevOps practices and on-call support as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop application enhancements, technology upgrades, and system integrations.
• Support data integration, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting across Findur and connected systems.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Provide second-line application support and participate in on-call support as required.
• Maintain and improve application automation frameworks.
• Apply test-driven development, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Support application modernization and secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Perform performance testing and resolve application bottlenecks.
• Develop, configure, customize, and integrate complex enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to obtain Secret clearance, including a minimum of ten (10) years of verifiable personal history.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of Java application development experience using Eclipse.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience working with relational databases and SQL, preferably Oracle.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting or enhancing enterprise financial trading, treasury, risk management, or capital markets applications.
• Experience developing, configuring, customizing, and integrating complex enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting applications with high availability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modelling, integration, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with performance testing and resolving application bottlenecks.
• Candidates must be based in Canada and legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial trading and risk management platforms.
• Experience with ION/OpenLink Findur or Endur is strongly preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable enterprise cloud solutions.
• Experience with application modernization and complex financial systems integrations.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $90.00 - $110.00 / hour
