Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of working experience in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related function.
- Good knowledge of the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and other relevant labour legislation.
- Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good report writing, documentation, and case management skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and employee engagement skills.
- Ability to conduct investigations and handle disciplinary and grievance matters professionally and confidentially.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments within stipulated timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, investigate, and manage employee disciplinary and misconduct cases in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Handle employee grievances, complaints, and inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
- Conduct investigations into disciplinary matters, gather evidence, prepare investigation reports, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Coordinate and administer Domestic Inquiry processes, including serving as Secretary during Domestic Inquiry proceedings.
- Prepare and issue disciplinary notices, warning letters, show-cause letters, and other related documentation.
- Ensure all disciplinary actions and employee relations matters comply with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and company policies.
- Maintain and administer the employee grievance management system, including the e-Grievance platform.
- Conduct Industrial Relations induction briefings and employee engagement sessions to promote awareness of workplace policies and practices.
- Assist in the review, enhancement, and implementation of Industrial Relations policies, procedures, and forms.
- Compile, maintain, and organize documentation and evidence for disciplinary cases, Labour Court cases, Industrial Court cases, and other employment-related matters.
- Monitor attendance-related disciplinary issues and coordinate payroll deductions arising from lateness or attendance violations.
- Prepare monthly Industrial Relations reports, case updates, and presentations for management meetings and committees.
- Support the implementation of disciplinary policies, Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), and other employee relations initiatives.
- Keep abreast of developments in employment legislation, industrial relations practices, and relevant judicial precedents.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, including the Labour Department and Industrial Relations Department.
- Conduct disciplinary records verification for employee recognition programmes and other management requirements.
- Perform any other Industrial Relations or Human Capital-related duties as assigned by management from time to time.
