About RJC

RJC is a specialist recruitment firm for the Energy Trading market operating across highly technical markets, including ETRM, Application Development, and Risk. We have a strong presence in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and US and we are expanding across the Middle East and APAC regions.

We are entering an exciting growth phase and are looking for a Head of Marketing to build, shape, and scale our brand across both client and candidate audiences.

The Role

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for defining and executing RJC’s marketing vision. The successful candidate will take ownership of brand development, market intelligence reporting, and multi-channel marketing initiatives—initially with a strong focus on LinkedIn.

You will work closely with senior leadership and sales consultants to translate market insights into compelling marketing campaigns that drive both candidate and client pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Building & Digital Presence

Develop and execute a clear marketing strategy to position RJC as a leader in its niche markets

Build and scale RJC’s brand presence, initially focusing on LinkedIn

Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms (LinkedIn, website, content, etc.)

Drive engagement with both candidates and clients through targeted campaigns

2. Market Intelligence & Reporting

Lead the creation of monthly market reports covering:

  • Hiring trends
  • Systems and technologies used
  • Salary benchmarking and market movement

Collaborate with sales consultants to gather real-time market insights. Produce both:

  • Public-facing reports (for brand building and lead generation)
  • Confidential insights (for strategic client engagement)

Roll out reporting geographically:

  • UK (initial focus)
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • United States
  • Singapore
  • UAE

3. Content & Thought Leadership

Drive personal branding initiatives across the business through

  • Podcasts
  • Thought leadership content
  • Website content and alignment

4. Stakeholder Management

Work closely with five key internal stakeholders (senior leadership and commercial teams)

  • Partner with sales consultants to:
  • Extract market insights
  • Align marketing with commercial priorities

5. Pipeline Generation

  • Design and execute marketing campaigns that directly support:
  • Candidate attraction
  • Client acquisition

6. Budget Ownership & Strategy

  • Manage and allocate the marketing budget effectively
  • Identify new tools, platforms, and opportunities to scale marketing efforts
  • Continuously refine strategy based on performance data and market feedback

Key Requirements

Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role (Head of Marketing / Marketing Lead)
  • Experience in recruitment, staffing, or professional services is highly desirable
  • Strong track record of building brands, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Experience producing market reports, insights, or thought leadership content
