Role Overview:

capSpire is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing Energy & Commodities practice. In this role, you will design, develop, and support enterprise applications and integrations across Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM/CTRM) platforms and related ecosystems.

You will work closely with traders, risk analysts, operations teams, business stakeholders, and technical architects to deliver scalable and high-performing applications supporting trading, risk management, scheduling, settlements, reporting, and market data processes.

The ideal candidate should possess strong full stack engineering capabilities combined with experience working within ETRM/CTRM environments and enterprise consulting engagements

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users, clients, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable ETRM-focused solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications across front-end and back-end technologies
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Develop robust backend services, APIs, and integrations using technologies such as .NET Core, Java, Node.js, or Python
• Integrate applications with ETRM/CTRM platforms, market data systems, and enterprise applications
• Develop and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs for trading, risk, scheduling, and reporting workflows
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
• Participate in technical solution design, architecture discussions, and system optimisation initiatives
• Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing ETRM applications
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and cloud deployments in Azure or AWS environments
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, estimations, and delivery activities
• Perform code reviews, maintain coding standards, and mentor junior developers where required
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and integrations

Key Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in Full Stack Development
• Strong hands-on experience with front-end technologies including React.js and/or Angular
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience in backend development using .NET Core, Java Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python
• Experience integrating and supporting ETRM/CTRM platforms and enterprise applications
• Good understanding of energy trading workflows including front office, risk, scheduling, settlements, or market operations
• Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and microservices-based architectures
• Strong SQL and database development skills using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms such as Openlink Endur, RightAngle, Allegro, TriplePoint, or similar systems
• Exposure to energy commodities such as Power, Gas, LNG, Crude, Refined Products, or Renewables
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or real-time integrations
• Consulting experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
