ETRM PreSales / Customer Success Manager - AI-Powered Energy Trading Software – Based from anywhere in Europe

Bleeding edge, European headquartered, AI-powered financial alpha engine for energy traders software business seeks an experienced ETRM PreSales / Customer Success Manager.

You’ll be based from anywhere in Europe, so this is a remotely based role with regular travel to meet clients across Europe

, but ideally you’ll be based from a city with a strong concentration of energy trading clients (London, Geneva, Zurich etc).

You’ll join a business that does not use off-the-shelf Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 to do its core modelling, instead it has built a custom, end-to-end

AI technology stack tailored specifically for physical AI, atmospheric data, and energy workflows

. This AI software allows their clients to use real-time, AI-driven energy trading predictions to maximize market profits and prevent renewable energy grid penalties, effectively replacing the client Trading Analysts.

Salary: Open depending on the right person, but circa £120-150k (London) / CHF 150-200k basic (Geneva / Zurich) or equivalent in other European cities + 75% OTE in year one.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ETRM functional / business professional who could be currently working as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, PreSales / Solutions Sales Consultant etc and looking to move into a hybrid PreSales role helping the Sales Managers to prepare and deliver demos to prospective and current clients (upselling) and then when the Sales Manager closes the deals, you will do the second part of your role acting as the Customer Success Manager, staying close to the clients, ensuring 100% client satisfaction and looking for opportunities for further upselling opportunities.

Although only founded 5 years ago, they have already signed multiple oil & gas majors, major utilities and commodity trading businesses in Europe and North America, so have a fantastic product to sell and hundreds of happy clients as case studies.

Key skills and experience sought:

  • Several years working in ETRM or related business orientated roles (BA, PM, PreSales, Product Manager etc),

so you will be able to talk to Heads of Trading Desks and Heads of Risk in detail about the energy trading deal life-cycle, able to demo my client’s software and answer their questions. You could be working for an ETRM software house, ETRM consultancy or for a client trading business keen to move into a software house business.

  • You don’t need to have previous account management or customer success experience although this would be useful, as with the right mindset and right energy trading business knowledge background, you can grow into the Customer Success Manager part of the role.
  • This is not a techy role but you will need some Python programming skills, which can be self-learnt or more formal
  • Bright, degree educated
