A leading energy trading organization is seeking an experienced Endur Architect to support a large-scale transformation initiative focused on modernizing Trading capabilities and enterprise architecture. This hybrid opportunity in Houston, TX will focus on designing and implementing a global Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform leveraging OpenLink Endur v14+ and Azure cloud technologies. This is a contract opportunity with potential for contract-to-hire for candidates looking to make a long-term impact within a highly strategic environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-level architecture initiatives that directly support the future of energy trading technology and digital transformation. You’ll collaborate with senior technology and business leaders, influence architecture standards, and help build scalable trading solutions in a highly visible environment. Required Skills & Experience
· 10+ years of experience within Trading IT environments
· 10+ years of hands-on experience with OpenLink Endur v14+
· Strong understanding of end-to-end Trading business processes from deal inception through settlement
· Extensive experience designing and delivering software architecture solutions within Commodities Trading
· Deep expertise in ETRM platforms and enterprise integration strategies
· Experience architecting cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure environments
· Strong understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF
· Experience with architecture governance, review boards, and enterprise standards
· Ability to lead technical architecture discussions across multiple portfolios and stakeholders
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills within trading organizations
· Experience balancing technical risk, complexity, scalability, and business value in solution design
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
· Knowledge of information security architecture and governance practices
· Experience working in Agile delivery environments
· Familiarity with architecture tooling and documentation standards
· Ability to mentor technical teams, designers, and business analysts
· Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive consensus across diverse teams
· Experience participating in enterprise Architecture Review Board sessions
· Background within energy or commodities trading organizations preferred
