Job Summary
As a Concentrates Traffic Operator, you will execute physical concentrates trades end to end by coordinating logistics, managing documentation, and communicating daily with internal and external stakeholders. You will support contract and delivery execution, stock and inventory tracking, pricing and settlement processes, and timely, accurate P&L capture in line with contractual requirements and internal controls.

- Coordinate day‑to‑day operations with external parties, such as suppliers, receivers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, inspection agencies, and warehouses.
- Drive and follow up on key execution activities for each delivery (payments, freight bookings, costs, exposures, pricing, hedging, and documentation deadlines) and escalate risks early.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping and customs documentation.
- Maintain accurate tracking of stock positions and inventory movements.
- Prepare complete and accurate document sets for bank presentation and settlement (e.g., letters of credit, bank releases, and payments), in line with contractual terms and internal requirements.
- Resolve operational issues, including quality claims, demurrage, and delivery delays.
- Ensure internal systems are kept up to date with key trade and logistics data to support accurate reporting and P&L capture.
- Maintain close coordination with traders, finance, risk, and operations teams to ensure timely invoices and compliance with internal controls.
Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in traffic, logistics, shipping or trade execution within commodities industry.
- Working knowledge of international shipping and trade documents; familiarity with Incoterms is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in commodity trading operations, logistics, basic hedging concepts, and pricing/settlement structures.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Clear communicator with strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluency in English required; other languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with ERP systems and/or a commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) platform is a plus.
- Travel may be required if business dictates.
