Are you an experienced Business Systems Analyst with expertise in commodity trading, process analysis, Oracle Fusion, and enterprise systems implementations? This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives, shape business technology strategy, and deliver solutions that improve trading, financial, and operational performance.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will bridge business needs with technology solutions by leading requirements gathering, process analysis, testing, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery.

This role is aligned to the Oil Value Trading value stream, partnering closely with:

You will play a critical role in improving visibility, controls, efficiency, and decision-making across Oracle Fusion and CTRM platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement & Demand Management

• Partner with business leaders to identify strategic opportunities and technology initiatives.

• Shape and prioritize business demand aligned with organizational objectives.

• Develop business cases and recommendations supporting investment decisions.

• Translate strategic business goals into actionable technology requirements.

Process Analysis & Optimization

• Conduct end-to-end process analysis across the Oil Value Trading value stream.

• Document current-state and future-state processes using:

• Process Maps
• Flowcharts
• Value Stream Mapping
• Business Process Models

• Identify:

• Process Gaps
• Operational Inefficiencies
• Bottlenecks
• Control Weaknesses

• Recommend technology-driven improvements and automation opportunities.

Requirements Elicitation & Documentation

• Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements.

• Develop and document:

• Business Requirements
• Functional Specifications
• User Stories
• Use Cases
• Acceptance Criteria

• Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, testable, and aligned with business objectives.

• Manage complex cross-functional requirements for strategic initiatives.

Oil Value Trading Systems Support

• Support technology initiatives related to:

• Trade Capture
• Scheduling
• Logistics
• Settlements
• Risk Management
• Exposure Tracking
• Financial Reporting

• Partner with business and technical teams to improve trading processes and workflows.

• Support integration between CTRM platforms and Oracle Fusion Financials.

Quality Assurance & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programs.

• Develop:

• Test Strategies
• Test Plans
• Test Cases
• Defect Management Processes

• Coordinate testing activities with business SMEs and QA teams.

• Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.

• Identify implementation risks and drive issue resolution.

Stakeholder Communication & Leadership

• Serve as the primary communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Facilitate alignment among project teams, management, and executive leadership.

• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders at all levels.

• Influence decisions through data-driven analysis and business insights.

Mentoring & Team Development

• Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.

• Share best practices in requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design.

• Collaborate with training teams to develop:

• Training Plans
• User Documentation
• Adoption Materials

• Support knowledge transfer and team capability development.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:

• Business
• Information Technology
• Engineering
• Related Field

Experience

• 5–10 years of progressive Business Systems Analysis experience.

• Experience supporting complex enterprise systems and large-scale implementations.
